About Me
Effort over Outcome exists because coaching has been the most consistent thread in my life, whether as a business owner building people and teams, a lifelong fitness enthusiast who trains with discipline, or a coach on the track or basketball and volleyball courts helping athletes grow up through sport.
I have spent years coaching kids in track and field, cross country, volleyball, and basketball, and I have seen the same pattern play out across every sport. While talent is common, consistent preparation and execution are not. The athletes who separate are rarely the ones with the most natural ability. They are the ones who learn how to prepare, practice with intention, respond positively to feedback, and perform when the moment is uncomfortable.
That same pattern is true in business. For nearly two decades I have built a company from the ground up and helped thousands of leaders and teams who were trying to grow, win, and perform in high-pressure moments. I have coached CEOs to grow their companies from small businesses to major acquisitions valued at hundreds of millions. This experience has shown me that the best leaders are those who are hungriest for growth, the most disciplined, the most resilient under pressure, and the most consistent when things get hard.
I am passionate about taking everything I have learned, in both sports and business, to help the next generation of athlete leaders. From coaching hundreds of practices and watching what actually helps young athletes improve, I want to turn that experience into a clear advantage for athletes and families who want more than “work hard and hope for the best”.
My approach is centered on fundamental principles for getting better. I help athletes prepare mentally to perform their best in competitions, build routines that create confidence, and develop leadership habits that make them more valuable to their teams and more trusted by their coaches. I also help them build a CEO mindset to take ownership of their preparation, make smart decisions under pressure, and build the habits that carry over into school, relationships, and eventually work and life.
Not every athlete will continue in their sport past high school or college. My goal is to build a CEO mindset in young athletes who will gain a competitive edge, become stronger leaders, and reach their potential through better preparation, better effort, and better mental performance when it counts.
